Schiller International University - An American University in Madrid

The Madrid Campus puts you at the cultural epicenter of the Spanish-speaking world, where the traditional meets the modern on a grand scale. Madrid has an unparalleled history of university education dating back to the Middle Ages, which culminated in the creation of an entire ‘University City' within the capital. We are proud to play our part in continuing this tradition. Our Madrid campus is relocating in the fall of 2008 to Serrano Street, right on the Plaza de la República Argentina, in an area that is rich in restaurants, shops, cultural attractions and other entertainments.

Madrid, the time-honored city of bullfights and popular festivals, great parks, wide boulevards and ancient alleys, is both a historic seat of Kings and a flourishing modern metropolis. It is the financial center of the Iberian peninsula and hosts the headquarters of some of the world's biggest companies. Yet for all its globalization, a unique enchantment with life permeates this vibrant city and as a student here you won't simply experience Spanish culture - you will live it to the full, with the chance to learn a globally important language at the same time.

Students from more than 40 countries make our campus community truly diverse and cosmopolitan - the most international in all of Spain. As at all Schiller campuses throughout Europe and the US, teaching is in English. Students have the option to pursue an entire degree program in Madrid or to transfer among other campuses. We offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs, with options including International Business, International Economics, International Relations & Diplomacy, General Studies and an MBA in International Business.

In addition to being accredited by ACICS and the British Accreditation Council, the Madrid campus is officially recognized by the Consejeria de Educación y Cultura in Madrid (local higher education authorities) of the autonomous community of Madrid.

Schiller's Madrid campus is relocating in the fall of 2008 to a neoclassical building that was formerly the residence of a member of the Spanish royal family. Situated on Serrano Street - considered one of the most chic areas of Madrid - on the Plaza de la República Argentina, it is surrounded by restaurants, embassies, international schools and cultural centers. In the neighborhood, you'll also find everything from boutiques to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium (home of the Real Madrid soccer team).

The campus offers a full range of facilities, including computer labs, study and lounge areas, a library, and a career counseling and placement office. You'll meet friendly staff who will help you to find your way in the city - and to find accommodation for your stay.
