Foundations of Achievement

Schiller International University offers undergraduate and graduate students a variety of degrees, including Associate's, Bachelor's and Master's degree programs with the advantages of an American education. Instruction at all campuses is in English, with some of our campuses providing intensive English classes prior to the beginning of a semester.

Students have the opportunity to study in some of the most exciting cities and locations in the world.

Many students elect to study abroad at multiple campuses during their education at Schiller International University. We also have cooperative agreements with over 40 universities and colleges in countries all over the world, offering a number of educational and cultural opportunities. In addition, most of our programs are also offered online.

The American system assesses its students from the start to finish of their academic careers.

You are constantly evaluated and informed about your individual progress. You receive mid-semester and end-of-semester grades and are assessed through a variety of modes, such as progress reports, coursework, and essays.

You can earn a Bachelor degree in four years, while a Master degree takes an additional 9 to 18 months.

Progress is determined by credit hours - you must earn 124 credits to graduate with a Bachelor degree. Each class is generally worth 3 credits, resulting in 45 hours of instruction on that subject. You can accelerate degree completion by transferring credits and taking summer courses. Students who have completed their four-year Bachelor degree can continue on to graduate studies, pursuing the same or different field.

The academic year consists of two 15-week semesters, as well as an optional seven-week summer session.

You may enroll in six courses (subjects) during a full semester term, and up to three courses in the summer. There are a variety of programs to choose from among the three kinds of courses offered:

  • General Education: These courses are designed to fulfill general core education requirements for undergraduate students only, regardless of their chosen major.
  • Required: These classes are the foundation of a student's chosen field.
  • Electives: Students may choose from diverse subjects in addition to their major, providing a well-rounded education.
